Bread of Life Church

This is where it all began for Bedford+Co. Our church needed a website. Being the visionary people that we are, we decided to build one ourselves.

We dove into WordPress headfirst, picked a template that we thought was cool, and swapped out content accordingly. It worked well at the time, but we knew there would be changes to come as our design skills improved.

Working through the process

What started as an endeavor to make a good website turned into a long journey. There were many late nights and many cups of coffee. We read article after article about how to make stuff work. There was also lots of eye-rubbing from staring at a computer screen for too long.

After learning what works and what doesn’t work, we developed a site specifically designed to meet our needs. What you see now is a result of 4 years of web design experience. It is also likely that we will continue to make updates and changes over time in order to keep the site relevant.

The end result

Over the years, we have learned that sites require several things to be considered “a good website.” These would be things like user-friendliness, high-quality images, good content, animations, etc. The end result of the Bread of Life Church website encompasses all of these qualities.

Furthermore, instead of having a static site, we’ve adopted the idea that websites should be fluid. A site should be able to change and adapt to meet an organization’s needs as those needs present themselves.
